비애클럽(悲哀总会) 온라인 페스티벌: 자가격리시대를 위한 송가 1st Show
기획자·DJ인 유영식(yuyungsik), 음악가·DJ인 벨라(bela), 사운드 아티스트·소설가인 위지영(Jiyoung Wi)이 만드는 서울의 실험·전자음악 공연 시리즈 비애클럽(悲哀总会)이 오는 7월, 온라인 페스티벌 ‘자가격리시대를 위한 송가(Requiem for Self-Isolation)’로 돌아온다.새로운 세대를 위한 새로운 리스닝 문화를 지향해온 비애클럽은 ‘자가격리시대를 위한 송가’를 통해 세계에 흩어져 활약하는 아시안, 여성, 퀴어 음악가의 목소리를 한데 모으고자 한다.
본 온라인 페스티벌은 두 번의 라이브 스트리밍 쇼로 진행될 예정이다. 서울을 중심으로 활동하는 뮤지션이 선보이는 1차 쇼는 줌(Zoom)과 유튜브(YouTube)로 송신된다. 세계 각국의 뮤지션과 한국의 시각 예술가가 펼치는 2차 쇼는 유튜브와 트위치(Twitch)로 송신된다. 특히 2차 쇼는 ‘사운드 스테이지'와 ‘비주얼 스테이지’로 나뉘어 동시 송신할 예정으로, 비애클럽이 제안하는 신선한 오디오 비주얼의 감각을 기대해도 좋을 것이다.
1차 쇼는 자율 기부 입장으로 이루어지며, 7월 12일 오후 2시 50분 비애클럽 인스타그램 스토리와 바이오를 통해 배포될 줌 라이브 코드를 통해 함께할 수 있다. 유튜브에서 ‘생기스튜디오’를 검색하면 유튜브 라이브도 참여할 수 있다. 2차 쇼는 RSVP 구글 폼으로 사전 신청 후 최저금액 이상 기부한 관객에 한해 입장이 가능하다. 구글 폼에 입력한 메일로 프라이빗 스트리밍 링크를 받아볼 수 있으며, 사운드 스테이지는 유튜브 링크로, 비주얼 스테이지는 트위치 링크로 접속할 수 있다.
공연 수익의 일부는 미국의 Black Trans Lives Matter 운동 관련 기관에 기부될 예정이라고 하니, 자세한 소식을 비애클럽 공식 인스타그램 계정 @sorrowclubseoul에서 지금 만나보자.

Sorrow Club Online Festival: Requiem for Self-Isolation - 1st Show
Sorrow Club, a series of shows curated by organizer/DJ yuyungsik, musician/DJ bela, sound artist/novelist Jiyoung Wi, is returning with an online festival ‘Requiem for Self-Isolation’ on July.
Aiming for a newer listening environment for the new generation, Sorrow Club will bring together the voices of Asian, women, and queer musicians around the world.
The online festival will include two live streaming shows. The first event, which features musicians working in Seoul, will be broadcast on Zoom and YouTube Live. The second event introduces international musicians and Korean visual artists simultaneously on YouTube Live and Twitch respectively. Split into the ‘Sound stage’ and ‘Visual stage’, you can expect a refreshing audiovisual experience.
We will accept donations for the first event. The Zoom live code will be announced 2:50PM 12th July. Access to the second event will be available through RSVP google form and minimum donation. Private streaming links will be distributed via E-mail collected on the RSVP google form. YouTube link leads to the Sound Stage, and Twitch link to the Visual Stage.
The profit from ‘Requiem for Self Isolation’ will be partially donated to the Black Trans Lives Matter movement. Visit Instagram @sorrowclubseoul for more information.

장희진 Heejin Jang
Heejin Jang is a multidisciplinary artist based in Seoul. Jang has lived, exhibited, and performed around the globe. In her live sound performance, Heejin presents a set of improvised computer music. She arranges and synthesizes sonic spaces that draw from the everyday and the trivial, re-forming them into phenomenal situations of meditation or digitally induced panic. Distorting ambient, field recordings, and sound samples from the Internet, Jang creates a reverberating force that gets one lost in the echoes of invisible itineraries to the outer world.
아텍스테 ARTEXTE
ARTEXTE는 사운드 아티스트 신혜진(Hyejin Shin)과 오디오비주얼 아티스트 클로드(CLAUDE)의 협업 프로젝트이다. 그들의 작업은 앨범 기록 또는 인터랙티브 설치, 오디오 비주얼 퍼포먼스와 같이 멀티미디어아트 형태로 관객에게 선보여진다. 2019년 결성과 함께 와트엠(WATMM), 위사 페스티벌(WeSA), SCR, RTA 등을 통해 작품을 공개하며 활발한 활동을 이어왔다. 이외에도 한국의 사운드 및 비주얼 아트 씬에서 기획 및 교육자로 활동하며 다양한 방면으로 예술에 대한 흥미를 표현하고 있다.
리비자 Leevisa
일렉트로닉이라 불리는 장르적 카테고리 안에서 여러 가지 음악을 시도하고 있다. 현재 다양한 분야에서 영상에 필요로 하는 사운드트랙 제작과 디제이 셋 공연을 주로 하고 있다.

키티 Kitty
Kitty는 서울 베이스의 DJ이자 작은 아기 고양이이다. 장르적 지식 없이 얕고 좁게 음악을 튼다.
벨라 bela (Sorrow Club)
음악가, DJ. 감정의 균형을 향한 다양한 길을 찾는다. 젠더 논-바이너리이며 아시안이다. bela는 소문자로 표기한다.
Musician, DJ. Finds various hidden passages to emotional balance. Gender non-binary and Asian. Name preferred written with no uppercase letters. Pronoun they.
소설가, 뮤지션. 제도와 비제도 사이에서 소설을 쓰고, 클럽과 미술관 사이에서 사운드를 다룬다. 주로 샘플링, 필드 레코딩, 스포큰 워드 등의 기법을 활용하여 사운드 스케이프의 내러티브를 만들고 부수는 작업을 한다. 시각 예술을 위한 협업자이자, 비트 매칭을 거의 하지 않는 DJ이기도 하다. 국립현대미술관, 일민 미술관, 문화비축기지 등에서 열린 전시에 참여했다. (사진 제공: 일민 미술관, 촬영: 김유진)
Novelist, Musician. Writes novels in between non-institution and institution, works on sound in between club and art gallery. Her work focuses on creating and demolishing narratives of soundscape using sampling, field-recording and spoken words. A collaborator for visual art, a DJ who rarely matches the beats. 유영식 yuyungsik (Sorrow Club)
DJ, 비애클럽 파운더. 오래전부터 언더그라운드 음악 애호가라는 정체성을 기반으로 일련의 작은 DIY 언더그라운드 파티를 만들어왔다. 2019년 실험적인 음악과 자유로운 형식에 초점을 둔 비애클럽을 시작하였다.
DJ, Founder of Sorrow Club. Has been throwing small DIY parties as an underground music enthusiast. Since February 2019, yuyungsik has been promoting Sorrow Club which focuses on experimental underground music, breaking the conventional form of events in Seoul.
